There’s something about a bar cart at Christmas that always just feels a bit magical. Maybe it’s the twinkle lights bouncing off the glassware, maybe it’s the fact that everyone gravitates to it like it’s the social hub of the house, or maybe it’s simply that it keeps everything cute and organised so you’re not sprinting back and forth to the kitchen all day. Whatever the reason, a bar cart just works for Christmas entertaining.
If you’re giving yours a little festive moment this year, here’s how to make it look gorgeous without overthinking a thing.

Start with a little sparkle
Christmas décor and bar carts are long lost soulmates. Pop your cart near the tree if you can (the glow instantly makes everything feel elevated), then layer in a few little pieces that feel fun and festive. Paper trees, a snow globe, a candle that smells like Christmas in a jar. Just enough to make it feel like Christmas, not a full Santa’s workshop situation.
Add your drinks and glassware
Line up your pretty glasses, your go-to Christmas cocktail ingredients, and also a cute drink shaker if you're feeling a little “I’m hosting a Hallmark holiday special.”
This also makes life easy when friends and family wander over wanting a top-up. Everything’s right there and can be self-serve style, which can be the best part. You get to enjoy the day instead of playing bartender.
Make room for the functional things that also happen to be cute
This is where our can coolers slide in like the festive little stars they are.
Pop a couple on the top shelf so they’re right there when someone opens a can. Not only do they keep everyone’s drinks cold through a hot Australian Christmas Day, but they look adorable on display (especially the Christmas patterns… hello instant décor). If you feel like being extra organised, you can tuck a few more on the lower shelf so people can “change outfits” for their drink later in the day.

Play with colour and little moments
A big bow on the cart handle? Yes. A festive tea towel? Absolutely. A few little pops of red, gold, or whatever your Christmas palette is? Do it.
The trick is to mix the pretty stuff with the practical stuff so it feels fun but also useful. Your bar cart is basically your friendly little hosting assistant.

Finish with a few snacks or a little treat tray
A bowl of lollies, some chocolates, a tiny grazing moment as it always gets people smiling. It also softens the whole feel so it doesn’t feel like a “serious bar setup." It's just relaxed, summery Christmas fun.
And that’s it, your Christmas bar cart is ready to do its thing.
It doesn’t need to be perfect or styled within an inch of its life. Just a few festive touches, your favourite drinks, some cute glassware, and of course your Bask & Sip can coolers ready for the day.

Here’s to a chilled drink, a sparkly tree, and the easiest hosting ever. Cheers!
